  • Azeem Khan, MD, FACP, FACG

    Azeem Khan MD is an Interventional Gastroenterologist in private practice with over 25 years of experience. Dr Khan attended Medical School at Grant Medical College, University of Bombay, India. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY, and a chief resident year at McMaster University, Ontario, Canada. He then completed his training as a Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellow at New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY.

    Dr. Khan is Double Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He has been elected Fellow - The American College of Gastroenterology (FACG) and Fellow - The American College of Physicians (FACP). He is a Member of The American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and a member of The New York Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Khan is an attending physician at New York Hospital of Queens and North Shore LIJ Health Systems. Dr Khan maintains Faculty appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weil Cornell Medical College.

    Dr. Khan has training in many advanced endoscopic procedures including - Halo Ablation of Barrett's Esophagus, Hemorrhoid Ablation, Removal of Large Colon Polyps (EMR-Endoscopic Mucosal Resection ), Endoscopic Ultrasonography(EUS) for staging and diagnosis of GI cancers including Pancreatic, Esophageal and Gastric cancers. Dr. Khan has extensive experience in all areas of Gastroenterology with a strong interest in inflammatory Bowel disease, Celiac Sprue, Hepatitis B, and Cand Endoscopic-Ultrasonography in staging of gastrointestinal cancers.

  • Seyed Ali Khalessi Hosseini, MD

    Seyed Ali Khalessi Hosseini MD is a board certified gastroenterologist. He grew up in southern California and attended the University of California, Irvine. There he studied biomedical engineering (graduating cum laude) while conducting research on health outcomes associated with early feeding choices. He then went on to attend medical school at New York University, where he participated in several research studies with an emphasis on inflammatory bowel disorders. He subsequently completed his internal medicine residency at New York University as well. He then completed his gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, one of the nation's leading liver transplant programs, while serving as chief fellow in his final year. He is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. His clinical interests include general gastroenterology, liver disease, and inflammatory bowel disease. He performs general endoscopic procedures as well as endoscopic mucosal resection, high-resolution manometry, hemorrhoidal banding, and radio frequency ablation. He is fluent in Farsi.

  • Dayna Panchal, DO

    Dayna Panchal DO is a board certified gastroenterologist dedicated to a patient-centered approach. She grew up in Queens, NY before attending medical school in Long Island at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. Afterwards, she completed her internal medicine residency training at the Rutgers New Jersey Medical School program in Newark, NJ, where a passion for gastroenterology took root. During her time there, she was involved in multiple research projects on a wide range of topics including: cirrhosis, inflammatory bowel diseases, esophageal disorders, gastroparesis, and more. She went on to complete her Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship training also at Rutgers NewJersey Medical School program, one of the top rated liver transplant programs in the country. This experience equipped Dr. Panchal with advanced skills in liver disease management in addition to comprehensive gastrointestinal care. She is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology, American Gastroenterological Association, and American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Now, returning to Queens to practice, Dr. Panchal is committed to providing expert gastrointestinal care to the community she grew up in. She is focused on delivering compassionate, patient-centered, and high quality care with a focus on improving the lives of her patients. She performs general endoscopic procedures including upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, pushenteroscopy, endoscopic mucosal resection, esophageal dilation, high resolution manometry, hemorrhoidal banding, and radiofrequency ablation. She is fluent in Gujarati and has basic proficiency in Hindi.

  • Brandon Rego, PA-C

    Brandon Rego is a Board-Certified Physician Assistant specializing in gastroenterology. Brandon studied biology at the College of Staten Island before receiving his Masters of Physician Assistant Studies from Touro College. While completing his masters, he gained clinical experience rotating in hospitals and clinics throughout NYC. Brandon has been personally trained by Dr. Khan in treating a variety of gastroenterological conditions including GERD, dysphagia, IBS, IBD, hepatitis B and C, and diverticular disease. He takes particular interest in patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease and hepatic disorders. Brandon prides himself on his detailed and comprehensive approach to managing these conditions in an effort to provide the highest quality of care possible to his patients. 

  • Benjamin Aronbayev PA-C

    Benjamin Aronbayev is a Board-Certified Physician Assistant, who received his Bachelor of Physician Assistant Studies at St. John’s University, NY. Benjamin’s clinical interests include Gastroenterology and Hepatology, with a particular interest in the management of Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease. Benjamin’s top priority is the health and wellbeing of his patients. He will work alongside his patients to ensure a treatment plan that is both well understood and accommodating to the patient. During consultations, he makes sure to take an extensive history in order provide his patients with the most appropriate care required.
