Dr. Azeem Khan is a general and interventional gastroenterologist in private practice with over 25 years of clinical experience. He earned his medical degree from Grant Medical College, University of Bombay, India. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY, followed by a chief residency year at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada. Dr. Khan then completed his fellowship training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at New York Medical College.
Dr. Khan is double board-certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He has been elected Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology (FACG) and Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP). He is also an active member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
He currently serves as an attending physician at New York-Presbyterian Queens and the Northwell Health System. In addition, Dr. Khan holds a faculty appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College.
Dr. Khan is trained in a wide range of advanced endoscopic procedures, including Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR) for the removal of large colon polyps and Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) for the staging and diagnosis of gastrointestinal cancers such as pancreatic, esophageal, and gastric cancers. He has extensive expertise across all areas of gastroenterology, with particular interest in inflammatory bowel disease, chronic liver disease, and the use of EUS in cancer staging.
Dr. Seyed Ali Khalessi Hosseini is a board-certified gastroenterologist with specialized expertise in both gastroenterology and hepatology. A native of Southern California, he earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Irvine, where he graduated cum laude with a major in biomedical engineering. During his time there, he conducted research focused on health outcomes related to early feeding choices.
He went on to attend medical school at New York University, where he participated in several research initiatives, with a particular focus on inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Dr. Hosseini completed both his internal medicine residency and gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship at NYU and Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, respectively. At Rutgers—home to one of the nation’s leading liver transplant programs—he served as chief fellow during his final year.
Dr. Hosseini is an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. His clinical interests include general gastroenterology, liver disease, and inflammatory bowel disease. He performs a broad range of endoscopic procedures, including endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), high-resolution manometry, hemorrhoidal banding, and radiofrequency ablation (RFA).
He is fluent in Farsi and is committed to providing patient-centered, compassionate care across diverse populations.
Dr. Dayna Panchal is a board-certified gastroenterologist committed to a patient-centered approach to care. A native of Queens, NY, she completed her medical education at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in Long Island. She then pursued her internal medicine residency at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, where her passion for gastroenterology first took root.
During residency, Dr. Panchal engaged in multiple research projects spanning a variety of topics, including cirrhosis, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), esophageal disorders, gastroparesis, and more. She went on to complete her fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School—home to one of the nation’s leading liver transplant programs. This rigorous training equipped her with advanced expertise in liver disease management and comprehensive gastrointestinal care.
Dr. Panchal is an active member of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association, and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.
Now returning to her hometown of Queens, Dr. Panchal is proud to serve the community she grew up in. She is deeply committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based, and high-quality care focused on improving the health and well-being of her patients.
She performs a full range of general endoscopic procedures, including upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, push enteroscopy, endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), esophageal dilation, high-resolution manometry, hemorrhoidal banding, and radiofrequency ablation (RFA).
Dr. Panchal is fluent in Gujarati and has basic proficiency in Hindi.
Brandon Rego is a board-certified physician assistant specializing in gastroenterology and hepatology. He earned his undergraduate degree in biology from the College of Staten Island and went on to receive his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Touro College. During his training, Brandon gained extensive clinical experience through rotations at hospitals and clinics across New York City.
He has received direct mentorship and training from Dr. Azeem Khan in the management of a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), dysphagia, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), hepatitis B and C, and diverticular disease. Brandon has a particular clinical interest in the care of patients with IBD and hepatic disorders.

Benjamin Aronbayev is a board-certified physician assistant with a clinical focus in gastroenterology and hepatology. He earned his Bachelor of Physician Assistant Studies from St. John’s University in New York.
Benjamin has a particular interest in the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and his broader clinical interests span the full spectrum of gastrointestinal and liver-related conditions. He is dedicated to providing patient-centered care, with a strong emphasis on communication, education, and collaboration.
His top priority is the health and well-being of his patients. He works closely with each individual to develop treatment plans that are clearly understood and tailored to their needs. During consultations, Benjamin takes the time to obtain a thorough medical history to ensure the most appropriate and effective care is delivered.
