Azeem Khan MD is a Board Certified Gastroenterologist in private practice with over 25 years of experience. Dr Khan attended Medical School at Grant Medical College, University of Bombay, India. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY and a chief resident year at McMaster University, Ontario, Canada. He then completed his training as a Gastroenterology Fellow at New York Medical College, Valhalla, NY. Dr. Khan is Double Board Certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. He has been elected Fellow - The American College of Gastroenterology (FACG) and Fellow - The American College of Physicians (FACP). He is a Member of The American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy , Member of the Association for Bariatric Endoscopy and a Member of The New York Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Khan is an attending physician at New York Hospital of Queens and North Shore LIJ Health Systems. Dr Khan maintains Faculty appointment as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weil Cornell Medical College. He is the current Medical Director at Queens Boulevard Endoscopy Center (QBEC).
Dr. Khan has training in many advanced endoscopic procedures including - Halo Ablation of Barrett's Esophagus, Hemorrhoid Ablation, Removal of Large Colon Polyps, Endoscopic Ultrasonography for staging and diagnosis of GI cancers including Pancreatic, Esophageal and Gastric cancers, Endoscopic Placement of gastric balloon for Obesity management. Dr. Khan has extensive experience in all areas of Gastroenterology with strong Interest in Inflammatory Bowel disease, Celiac Sprue, Hepatitis B and C and Endoscopic-Ultrasonography in staging of gastrointestinal cancers.
Zara Hassan is a board certified Physician Assistant. Zara received her Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences with a concentration in Public Health at Stony Brook University. She subsequently completed her masters of Physician Assistant at Mercy College in the Bronx. While obtaining her Masters, she had also gained clinical experience at different hospitals and clinics throughout NYC.
Zara's clinical interests include Gastroenterology and Hepatology, with a particular interest in educating patients on age-appropriate screenings and irritable bowel disease. Zara is a compassionate Physician Assistant who is committed to the well being of her patients, as well as making sure that she gives each patient her focused attention.She takes a thorough and precise approach during her consultations to ensure that she is providing the best medical care available.
Adelina Aronova is a board certified Physician Assistant. Adelina earned her Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from St. John’s University. However, her knowledge of medicine began earlier, in high school, when she completed pre-med classes and college-level courses from pharmacological studies to hands on training of advanced cardiac life support and emergency medicine.
Upon encompassing vast fundamental basis of medicine, she was one of the very few who chose gastroenterology as her elective. Knowing many PA’s didn’t go down this path, her interest was intrigued at how she could be of service in this particular field. After having worked alongside an insightful and experienced gastroenterologist, Adelina knew that this is what she was meant to do. Specializing in gastroenterology gave her the ability to play a vital role in managing the care of many patient’s colitis, H. Pylori, GERD as well as following proper screening guidelines for colon cancer.
